Special flowers

Very special are these tulips with an unravelled edge, I saw them last week in a flower shop and could not resist to buy a bunch! I cut them very short and tied them together in two little bunches. I also added some fake-pearls to the water.

And some more special flowers, these ice flowers are so colorful and the special thing about them is that they open when the sun is shining and they close again when the sun has disappeared. It looks as if the leaves are covered with a film of ice.
I placed them on the edge of our pool…..the colors match so well with the fishes in the pool! (how far can you go in combining colors…)

This is how they look when the sun has disappeared…

And finally this Lily of the Valley, I showed them in an earlier post but now I cut some flowers and put them on a tiny little vase. They smell delicious!

Love the flowers, what a great idea putting the pearls in the water and I love the liliy of the vally photos.
It is a tradition in France that on May 1st, May Day - French Labor Day/Fête du Travail people will pick wild Lily of the Valley Muguets in French).
Also, it is very common to see roadside stands or people in front of supermarkets selling Lilies of the Valley, often to gather funds for an organization.
I love the smell that they give off.....

Dear Bertina,

Wonderful photographs, I keep looking at them. Thanks for sharing.
