Let's go outside!

Spring started so sunny and that means: let’s go outside! After such a long period of winter it is so lovely to go outside and doing all kinds of things!

Last Thursday afternoon I went to my friend Erna and we have been making all kinds of wreaths, hearts and eggs out of this bunch of birch branches for our “Spring-house”. We sat outside in the sun, just chatting, drinking coffee and binding…..it was so enjoying.

Next week we will pimp them up with eggs and feathers for the real Easter- and Spring feeling!

How to decorate a stepladder")eindelijk eens wit geverfd.

This weekend I finally painted my stepladder white (see my post “How to decorate a stepladder”).

Geweldig toch!

Recently Erna bought for both of us these flowerpots and painted them white. But she was not very pleased with the result. Then she got the swell idea to cover them with table-cloth. She already cut some templates so I only had to stuck them on the pots. Just great!

After filling the pots with some violins I nailed them on the ladder. It turned into a real spring-ladder!

And finally my neighbour gave me these magnolia branches, I placed them at our front door as a “Spring-entry”

I wish you all a sunny Sunday and till next time!

How to decorate a stepladder?

Last Saturday, while shopping with my daughter, I got a sms from my girl-friend: “I bought something for you and you will be very delighted with it………come over and pick it up!” Of course I wanted to pick it up and in the meanwhile I became so curious: what on earth did she buy for me?? When I finally came at her house the present was already waiting for me in all his glory in the sunshine; an intensive used stepladder! Found at the flea market, a real bargain! A stepladder with a story, all those different stains of paint in various colours gathered throughout the years and it had turned old grey. My husband thought I had gone mad, what do you do with that mess! He demonstratively locked the backdoor for me………

Okay, the stepladder has to be "refurbished" a little bit, I think I will give it a thin white coat of paint, so that the stains will remain visible......
And the most important part: the decoration! At first I hung my wreath of oak leaves at the top…….

Daarna wat glaasjes met loden hartjes ……

And attached some glasses with hearts of lead…..

and.....stepladder by night!

It is just a "decoration-start", I will use the ladder for many other things (I already have some ideas for Christmas) but certainly it will not be removed to our living room, although I saw already pictures on the internet of stepladders nicely “dressed up” in the living room.............

Have a nice weekend!
